From Grief to Giving Back

Why being featured by CALM means so much to us

When I lost my first husband, I found myself doing something I never imagined I’d have to do - looking for a charity to support in his memory with donations from family and friends.

I remember searching for an organisation that spoke to the tragedy of losing someone so young, so amazing and full of life to suicide. That’s when I found CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). I’d never heard of them before, but everything about their message struck a chord. They spoke with honesty, heart, and real understanding. They weren’t just raising awareness - they were opening up conversations that desperately needed to be had. I knew they could save so many other people like him.

In that moment, I knew CALM was the right charity to support. It felt personal. And powerful.

Fast forward to today - and I can’t quite explain how special it feels to now see our business, listed on CALM’s official fundraising page.

Something that has come from the raw aftermath of loss by suicide has become more than we ever imagined. A business built on colour, creativity, connection - and the belief that even in the darkest times, we can still shine. We knew from the beginning that giving back would be part of what we do. That a portion of every support card we sell would go towards supporting CALM’s lifesaving work.

But seeing our name on their site? That’s something else entirely. It’s a full-circle moment. A reminder of where we started, and why we do this.

To everyone who’s supported us so far, thank you. Whether you’ve bought a card, shared our story, or simply cheered us on - you’re part of this too. We’re just getting started, and we’re so proud to be giving back in a way that really means something.

Because when words are hard to find, a card can be a lifeline. A small act of connection that says: I see you. I’m here. You matter.
